The offset body is a style that players have always embraced.  It takes the traditional body proportions and gives it an edgier look while  maintaining a visual and physical balance.  This style, which became famous in the early 60??s, also seemed to mark the  point where manufacturers began to see the bass as more than just the most  basic utility instrument.  The FAIRLANE starts with the original styling concept and gives it a unique new edge.  All 22 frets are entirely exposed, and the offset styling is refined in a considerably  lighter body.
